To my Grandchildren and to my beloved, Sandy:
Fifty-seven years ago, when we got married, I didn’t realize I’d be making one of the best decisions of my entire life. You became Mrs. Dennis Freeman and with that decision, I became a blessed man over the last fifty-seven years.
When think back to your parents’ strengths and characteristics, you ended up with their strong points. Take your mother for example; you have her gift of always being willing to try new things and your creativity is out of this world. And your organizational skills are gifts from both your parents.
Look at our homes over the past fifty-seven years, and they are and always have been well decorated. You enjoy your home and have made it comfortable for your family. And look at your kitchen and every other room, they’re organized to the T.
But the real blessing of Sandra Kay Catt Freeman happened in the fall of 1971 when you not only gave your heart to Jesus Christ, but you allowed Him to transform you into His image. Many in Christianity accept Jesus as their Savior, but that’s where it usually stops. Over the past 48 years as His child, you allowed Him to be Lord and to transform you into the beautiful person you are today.
That’s why living with you has been a wonderful journey living through the ups and downs of life, but always keeping our eyes on the Transformer.
Your witness of prayer and Bible reading each morning is a testimony of your faith.
You are a faithful wife, always giving me your total respect and honor. You are a wonderful Mother and a fantastic Grandmother and Great-grandmother. You have always honored my family and in recent years, my mother.
You have a servant’s heart and you’ve touched many with your generosity. Making over 300 masks these past few months has been an example of your giving heart.
Needless to say, your loving example has been an inspiration to me and has challenged me to be a better husband and father. No amount of words can convey the deep love and admiration I have for you. You are the love of my life, now and forever.
Love,
Denny
